7 Places to Find Royalty Free Music for Your Guided Meditations
In recent times, I’ve had quite a few conversations with fellow soul-inspired business owners who were thinking about creating their own guided meditation recordings.
If you’re a spiritual entrepreneur like me, publishing your own guided meditations isn’t just a great way to create some extra passive income in your business, it’s also a beautiful opportunity to expand your reach online.
Whether you’d like to share your guided meditations on YouTube, SoundCloud, or publish them on iTunes, Spotify & co., you can use your recordings to grow your audience, direct more traffic to your website, and take advantage of a large number of search engines to get more visible with your work.
So if you’ve been contemplating putting your guided meditations out there, I highly encourage you to do so!
Anyway, one question I’ve been getting a lot lately is: Where can I find great, high quality meditation music that I’m allowed to use in my recordings?
I remember when I created my first guided meditations back in 2012, finding suitable royalty free music wasn’t always easy.
I did come across quite a few sites that were offering downloadable music for digital projects, but many tracks were only a few minutes long, which is too short for most guided meditations.
Fortunately, there are a lot more options nowadays!
If you’re looking for high quality meditation music for your audio or video recordings, here’s my current list of favourites, featuring sites that offer royalty free meditation music tracks 10 minutes in length or longer:
7 Favourite Websites to Download Royalty Free Guided Meditation Music for Your Digital Projects
1. Royalty Free Meditation Music (Enlightened Audio)
When I created my first series of guided meditations back in 2012–2015-ish, this was my go-to source for royalty free meditation music. (And I still love this website today!)
Enlightened Audio features a beautiful collection of high quality music composed by Christopher Lloyd Clarke. Most tracks are somewhere between $75–$90 USD, and you can get a generous discount if you purchase a credit pack in advance.
2. Royalty Free Meditation Music on Pond
Another amazing source for royalty free guided meditation music is Pond. Some recordings are a bit on the shorter side, so they may not be ideal for full length meditation tracks, but there are quite a few that are around 30 minutes long.
In my opinion, Pond also offers some of the best quality recordings out there. So I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
3. Silencio Music (Blissful Music for Hypnotherapy, Meditation & Deep Relaxation)
Silencio Music, a company based in the UK, specializes in royalty free music for meditative audio recordings and videos.
Each track is available as a 30 and 60 minute version. Pro licenses start at around £24.99. If you sign up for their newsletter, you get four tracks for free.
4. Music by Aroshanti
Aroshanti Music, a platform created by UK based composer Nick Truch, is another beautiful resource specifically for royalty free meditation and relaxation music.
On his website, he offers a nice selection of music tracks up to about 20 minutes in length. Royalty free music licenses for digital projects are between £25 and £125.
5. Purple Planet Music
This website offers a wide variety of different styles of music, including royalty free tracks for meditation, relaxation, and therapy.
All meditation music tracks are 30 minutes in duration, so they’re perfect for longer guided meditation recordings. Purple Planet’s unlimited licenses for digital projects are $120 USD. Smaller licenses are available at $15–30 USD.
6. Royalty Free Meditation Music (royaltyfreemeditation.com)
Another nice selection of beautiful ambient music that you can freely use for your audio and video products.
All music tracks on royaltyfreemeditation.com are between 15 and 30 minutes long, so they’re perfect as background music for your guided meditations.
Licenses are between $49.99 and $59.99 USD per track.
(P.S. This website may take some time to load, so don’t click away if you can’t see the music library right away. It’s worth the wait!) ;)
7. Royalty Free Audio Tracks on Incompetech
Incompetech is a huge resource for royalty free audio tracks in all sorts of different styles, including ambient, relaxing, and meditative.
Unlike most other royalty free music platforms, this one offers completely free creative commons licenses. (You can choose to pay for a license though if you don’t want to credit the artist.)
I often get my music here when I need short tracks, e.g. for my podcast or video intros, but they have a few longer meditation music recordings, too.
8. BONUS: Meditation Music Central
Since writing this article, there has been one particular composer who has caught my attention and whose music I absolutely love! So I wanted to add his website to this list:
Check out Meditation Music Central for a beautiful selection of tracks covering several different categories. Including meditation music, music for yoga, and compositions themed around the chakras.
Most tracks are in the $55–$65 USD range and come with a royalty free license which you can use for your guided meditations, videos, and more.
That’s it! Any questions or anything you’d like to add? Let me know in the comments!
